APSS

The Asia Pacific Spine Society (APSS) is the Spine Section of the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA), a regional organisation of spine surgeons mainly from the Asia Pacific region. This society started with the Western Pacific Orthopaedic Association - Spine Section in 1979.

The Society aims to advance spine care in the Asia Pacific region through education, research, and collaboration. The society aims to promote the highest standards of spine care by providing a platform for multidisciplinary professionals, including spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, pain management specialists, and rehabilitation professionals, to share their knowledge, expertise, and experience.

APSS organises various educational activities, including conferences, courses, outreach programmes and fellowship programmes, to enhance the skills and knowledge of spine care professionals. The society also supports research through grants, awards, and publications to improve the understanding of spine diseases and their treatment. In addition, APSS collaborates with other spine societies worldwide to promote international exchange and cooperation.

The Society currently has over 500 members from over 20 countries in the Asia Pacific region and beyond. By fostering collaboration and exchange among professionals and promoting high-quality spine care, APSS strives to improve the lives of patients with spine disorders in the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
